After a short relaxation exercise, Ann will lay her hands on and around your body to effect the Reiki healing. The Reiki has its own intelligence and will go where it is needed. However, Ann will be able to detect energy imbalances within your body and the Reiki will be able to address these in order to aid self healing.

Typically recipients of Reiki feel calm and have a sense of well-being. They may also experience sensations including tingling, heat or cold.

Whilst a one-off treatment is beneficial, most people find a series of Reiki treatments most effective. However there is absolutely no obligation to commit to a number of sessions. Ann is more than happy to offer an introductory session or to have a chat with you about your particular needs.

Ann offers Reiki Attunements at all levels either on a one to one or group basis. A Reiki Attunement typically takes a day but Ann always ensures she meets her students before and after the Reiki Attunement. It is important, especially after a Reiki Attunement, that Ann meets with and keeps in touch with her students ongoing for support, mentoring and friendship.

As part of Ann’s Reiki courses students receive Ann’s published Reiki Manuals which are excellent books with many photographs showing the hand positions, symbols used in Reiki and guides on self protection, self healing, complementary health insurance and the different requirements in becoming a Reiki Master.

Ann’s books cover Reiki Level 1 (which is also know as Reiki First Degree), Reiki Level 2 (also known as Reiki Second Degree) and Reiki Masters training.

It concerns Ann greatly that, in some areas, it is possible to rush the Reiki experience and become a Reiki Master in a weekend. There are 3 levels of Reiki with level 3 being the Reiki Master level. However a lot of people are happy to stay at Reiki level 1 or Reiki Level 2 and it is absolutely fine to practice Reiki after Reiki level 1. It is true that some people learn Reiki healing with the goal of becoming a professional Reiki Healer, however it is also very common for a lot of people to adopt Reiki as a tool for their personal development or just to treat themselves or their family and friends.

Actually though, whilst the client likes to discuss their situation, which I completely understand, from a Reiki point of view its not actually necessary to know precisely what the client is dealing with.  This is because the Reiki energy has its own intelligence, from a very high source, and will give the client what s/he needs – exactly what they need.  This may not always be what they want…..but they will get what they need.

However as a practitioner, I make sure that every client gets a full Reiki treatment which includes a full body balance and of course concentrate on any particular areas/problems for that extra focus.
